Jobs boost as new supermarket and local centre gets green light

Plans for a new Aldi store and a local commercial centre in Netherfield in Nottingham, have been approved by Gedling Borough Council.Consultants Pegasus Group secured planning permission for the local centre on land off Teal Close on behalf of Henry Davidson Developments.Details of access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale were approved for the four shops, pub, and children’s day nursery.Permission was also granted for a new retail store with associated car parking, landscaping and other infrastructure, which is to be occupied by Aldi. There will be 104 parking spaces, of which seven will be disabled bays and seven parent and child bays, while four of the bays will have electric charging points.The site forms part of the wider Teal Close development which has outline planning permission for new homes, a primary school, hotel, care home and public open space.
