Joint venture launches consultation for £50m Bangor regeneration
The joint venture company leading the £50m plan to regenerate Bangor’s historic seafront has launched a public consultation on the proposals.Bangor Marine is a joint venture partnership between Farrans and Karl Group created specifically to manage the regeneration scheme.The plans focus on transforming the historic Queen’s Parade area with the addition of a range of residential units complemented by commercial, leisure and tourism spaces.The Marine Gardens car park will also be redeveloped into an attractive public realm area consisting of an external events space, cafés, a sheltered promenade, seafront lawns, children’s play area and a water feature.The pre-application community consultation has invited comment from residents, business owners and other stakeholders in advance of the submission of the full planning application, scheduled for later this year.Further pre-application community consultation events are also scheduled on 1 and 2 August.
