Keepmoat has started construction on almost 100 homes on a site near Coventry.The company will build 95 homes on Wilson’s Lane for private market sale, along with plots that will be sold for affordable housing in partnership with Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council.Exhall Meadow will expand on the housing development currently under construction at Exhall Gardens, on School Lane, which is providing 125 units.Amanda Bishop, regional managing director at Keepmoat, said: “After the success of our Exhall Gardens development, we’re excited to be moving forward with the planning approval for this second phase which will deliver a development with a further 95 much-needed new homes for families and local residents to build a life in this fantastic area.”This housing project will deliver brand new homes and maisonettes to the local community, plus significant financial contributions to improve local services and facilities. Keepmoat will regenerate the land, where a portion was previously used as storage to create a new, thriving community.”A quarter of the development will be available as much needed affordable housing, while the remaining plots in the scheme will deliver new homes including two- three- and four-bedroom properties, as well as one-bedroom apartments. The first homes are expected to be complete in spring 2024.”Councillor Richard Smith, cabinet member for planning and regulation at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, added: “This Keepmoat brownfield regeneration scheme will deliver much-needed affordable homes that will help our young families to get onto the housing ladder and will contribute important funding, supporting improvements in essential local infrastructure, making Bedworth a great place to live.”I look forward to seeing the completion of the first new homes in the coming months.”
