Keepmoat wins £28m housing contracts
Housing group Keepmoat has secured contracts worth £28m to develop housing on brownfield sites near Swansea and Newport.The contracts were awarded to regeneration specialist Keepmoat by Pobl Group, Wales’ largest registered social housing landlord.Keepmoat will work with Pobl on the design and construction of 30 one-bedroom retirement and sheltered living flats with communal and management facilities on land near Madoc Place, which occupies a corner of the former Vetch Field in Swansea.The Herbert Road brownfield site on the banks of the River Usk in Newport will also be transformed over a four year project.The initial phase of work will consist of extensive infrastructure improvements in the area and the construction of the first 20 apartments on the site. Keepmoat will also be contributing towards improvements in leisure and education in the area.
