Kier plans Surbiton station revamp and flats scheme
Plan includes new 250 space miult-storey car park and improvements to existing ticket hallKier’s Solum joint venture with Network Rail is drawing up plans for a 240 homes scheme on land around Surbiton railway station in West London.Solum will also build a multi-storey car park at the site, and restore the southern station ticket hall as part of the regeneration plan.The partnership hopes to submit the development proposal for planning in April.It is the latest scheme to be advanced by the Solum joint venture which aims to unlock and develop brownfield sites for regeneration, housing and improving passenger experience.Network Rail income from developments is re-invested back into rail infrastructure.Previous big station regeneration projects have been delivered at Twickenham, Walthamstow and Guildford.
