Kier to deliver £15.6m sixth form academy in Lambeth and third project for the Harris Federation
Kier has been appointed by the Department for Education (DfE) to deliver the £15.6m Harris Clapham Sixth Form Academy for the Harris Federation.Works include the demolition of an existing 1930s former army reserve centre building and the construction of a new build part three and four-storey building. The 5,250m² building will accommodate 600 pupils and will have a range of state-of-the-art facilities, including a drama studio, science labs, ICT classrooms, an art studio and a gym/fitness suite.This appointment further strengthens Kier’s position as a leading provider of educational facilities, where it has delivered over £5bn of projects in the past 10 years. Currently, it is on site at a number of projects across the UK including Lordswood Boys school in Harbourne, Birmingham and the Ponteland school and leisure development in Northumberland.
