Kier wins London life sciences job
The project known as the Refinery will create 121,000 sq ft of high spec, laboratory, research and development spaces under one roof.Located on the Northern Embankment of the River Thames, the project will include the extension and full reconfiguration of the existing four-storey building.Its façade and roof will be replaced, two new storeys added, and a green roof will finish the look of the building.During the project, Kier will support local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through the Hammersmith and Fulham Local Supply Chain Project, giving them the opportunity to tender for work on site.David McKenzie, managing director for Kier Construction, London and Southern, said: “We are delighted to be working with ARC again on this innovative project which will transform this area of the Thames near Hammersmith.“We will be bringing together Kier’s extensive expertise in delivering commercial and life sciences facilities to create a development that will be a showcase for innovation and technology.”
