Kier wins north London mental health job
Kier has won a £17m scheme to build a new mental health facility in north London.The job for Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust will be built on Lowther Road in Islington.The four-storey building has been designed by Ryder with other consultants working on the scheme including QS McBain’s, structural engineer WSP and M&E engineer Capita.The new space will provide interview, counselling and treatment rooms, as well as a café and group collaboration zones. There will also be a ‘pocket’ park to support visitor and staff wellbeing.Kier, which is due to unveil its annual results in the middle of next month, was last week confirmed as winner of a £65m scheme to build the main works package on the Oxford railway station scheme for Network Rail.
