Kirkby gateway development gets the go ahead
An application to build 226 homes in a move designed to transform a site at the gateway to Kirkby has been backed.The proposals by Your Housing Group, in partnership with ENGIE, include 106 for shared ownership, 106 for affordable rent and 54 for private rent.Based on Whitefield Drive, it will be called Whitefield Brook after the nearby Kirkby Brook.The development has been funded through Your Housing Group’s partnership with Homes England.Work is expected to start on site in the autumn of 2020. The appointed architecture practice is Eden Building Design.
