Lancashire residential schemes set to move forward
Residential schemes for almost 200 homes have been recommended for approval by Lancashire planners ahead of a meeting this week.The larger of the two applications has been put forward by Watson Homes for 74 houses and 53 apartments in Clayton-le-Moors.Land known as Clayton Triangle accessed from Mill Entrance and located between Whalley Road and Leeds Liverpool Canal, has been earmarked for the scheme.Of the houses, 14 will be four-bed, 43 three-bedroom and 17 two-bedded. The apartments will consist of eight units with two bedrooms and 45 with one bedroom.The development will provide 100 per cent affordable housing with the future provider being Onward Homes. The scheme will provide a mix of 42 units that are proposed to be shared ownership with 85 units being affordable rent.The smaller application, which Keepmoat Homes are seeking permission for, comprises 53 homes on land to the north and south of Britannia Street, Great Harwood.The project would comprise of a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses in a mix of two and two and a half storey buildings. It would include mews properties, semi-detached and detached properties.Reports drafted by officer’s recommend permission is granted for both applications with conditions.
