Land acquired for job-creating housing project
A housebuilder has acquired 24 acres of land in Nottinghamshire to allow for a development which has the potential to create hundreds of homes and jobs.Avant Homes has brought forward plans for a £77.5m project on land just off Hawksley Gardens to the west of Clifton’s village centreSubject to planning approval from Nottingham City Council, the development would feature a collection of one- to five-bedroom properties, up to 20 per cent of which would be designated as affordable housing.The applicant anticipates that the scheme could create more than 820 jobs.If plans are given the green light, initial groundworks are expected to commence this summer with the build expected to take approximately six years.
