Land acquisition complete as developer plans for over 280 homesDeveloper Crest Nicholson has confirmed the completion of land acquisition at Branston Locks in East Staffordshire.The housebuilder obtained reserved matters planning approval for the greenfield parcel in April last year, paving the way for the construction of 284 new homes.Situated within a larger development area managed by various developers, Crest Nicholson will introduce a range of two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes.The new homes will contribute to the overall goal of delivering 2,500 homes as part of the broader scheme.Among the offerings will be several of Crest Nicholson’s house designs, including the three-bedroom Hadleigh and the four-bedroom Yorkley.Additionally, 22 homes will be designated as affordable shared-ownership properties.The development plans include public open spaces, incorporating amenities such as a play area and pathways for walking and cycling.Residents will have also access to commercial, educational, and recreational facilities within the larger development, including a primary school, a pub, a care home, and a hotel boasting up to 80 rooms.
