Land Deal Paves Way for Bolton Housing Scheme
Ashberry Homes has completed the acquisition of land which was once part of Bolton Wanderers’ training ground. The housebuilder is lining up a new residential development at the site.With planning permission granted for the land off Academy Way in Lostock, Bolton., Ashberry Homes will develop 59 new build homes at the 3.78 acre site.The new development will be known as The Academy, paying homage to the former use of the site.Ashberry Homes will deliver a selection of three and four bedroom homes, incorporating a range of semi-detached and detached homes. There will also be nine two bedroom affordable homes available.Work will start on site next month, with a showhome scheduled to open early 2024.Grace Yarlett, sales director at Ashberry Homes, said: “We are thrilled to have acquired land in Bolton and receive planning consent for The Academy. Located less than four miles from Bolton town centre in the thriving and sought-after suburb of Lostock, The Academy benefits from great local amenities, highly regarded schools and excellent transport links.”We are very much looking forward to build starting on site this month, providing the perfect collection of well-designed, modern homes for discerning homebuyers, with the first properties released for sale in early September.”In addition to the new development, Ashberry Homes has made financial contributions to the locality, including £195,860 towards secondary school education and £83,072 towards public open space.
