Latest Newcastle trampoline park plans revealed
A North East leisure company has revealed plans to transform a vacant Newcastle unit into a trampoline park in a move which could create 45 jobs.The Jump 360 brand is part of the Fun Shack group, owned by brothers Craig and Stuart Freeman alongside their partners Andrea and Georgette, and currently employs a workforce of more than 140 across the region.It is set to open its latest, 30,000 sq ft site in at Benton Business Park in July 2017.The £1.3m investment will comprise a host of activities including foam pits, airbags, dodgeball courts, slam dunk basketball lanes and two-metre jump platforms.It will also boast a range of new attractions including a giant ninja assault course, bucking bronco bull ride and Aeroball courts.The expansion follows the success of similar parks in Stockton and Hartlepool, with the Newcastle venture being “unanimously backed” by the licensing committee as it will rejuvenate a building which has previously been victim to vandalism.About 45 jobs will be created.Late last year, Insider revealed that The Fun Shack Group had also submitted plans for a £3m trampoline and children’s play centre at Benfield Industrial Estate in Newcastle.
