Latest phases of Nottinghamshire project set to advance
Plans for the construction of more than 90 homes in Nottinghamshire as part of a wider project look set to move forward.Rippon Homes is seeking full planning permission to build 91 properties on land at Blyth Road in Worksop. The site extends to approximately 49.3 acres and includes a residential dwelling known as Thievesdale House, along with surrounding agricultural/pasture land.Proposals, which comprise a mix of one- to four-bedroom units, represents phases three and four of a larger development.Outline permission was previously approved for up to 182 homes, a clean-tech/green-tech business park and an innovative data centre.A statement from the applicant said: “The development will make a substantial positive contribution to the character and environment at Worksop and provides the opportunity to develop a high-quality sustainable scheme which follows all the current principles of urban design.”Plans will be reviewed by Bassetlaw District Council’s planning committee on 13 September.A report for the committee said: “Having regards to benefits of the delivery of both market and affordable housing, and the scale and form of the development, it is considered that these, when considered cumulatively, outweigh any identified harm.”
