Loan approved for Fruit Market multi-storey car park
Plans for a new multi-storey car park at Hull’s Fruit Market have moved forward after the council approved the provision of a seven-figure loan to the partnership behind the project.The development of the Fruit Market is being undertaken by the Fruit Market LLP, a public/private partnership made up of Hull City Council and Wykeland Beal, the regeneration company formed by commercial developer Wykeland Group and housebuilder Beal Homes.The partnership is seeking a £3.2m loan to develop a 350-space car park on the site of the former Bonus Electrical. The council’s cabinet approved the provision of the loan yesterday (26 November 2018).
