Mackley hired for coastal defence scheme
West Sussex firm Mackley Construction has been appointed to work on the next phase of coastal defences in Portsmouth.The project will help protect more than 4,000 home and almost 500 businesses in North Portsea from flooding.Mackley has worked with Portsmouth City Council prior to the contract. It completed the first phase of coastal defences at Anchorage Park in 2015.The work is the fourth of five phases which make up the £58m North Portsea Island Coastal Defence Scheme.Work is set to begin at the end of September.
