Major DHL warehouse approved
Plans for a major warehouse at Segro’s East Midlands Gateway, which would be occupied by DHL, have been voted through.Almost 670,000 sq ft of employment space will be created after the go-ahead was granted by North West Leicestershire District Council’s planning committee at a virtual meeting on Tuesday 4 August.The proposals for plot 12 have been designed by pHp Architects and include a 669,608 sq ft distribution warehouse, a 20,000 sq ft main office and 5,000 sq ft transport hub.A total of 472 car parking spaces will also be created.Current occupiers of East Midlands Gateway include Amazon, Very, XPO Logistics and Kuenne+Nagel.
