Major residential scheme set to advance
A 237-apartment scheme lined up for the outskirts of Manchester city centre could secure approval next week.DeTrafford is behind the application, which concerns Phoenix House on Ellesmere Street.Lined up is a building rising to 11 storeys on the frontage of Ellesmere Street and 13 storeys to Spinner’s Way.The accommodation mix would be 23 two-bed townhouses, 80 one-bed apartments, 122 two-bed apartments and 12 two-bed duplex apartments.Also lined up are 11 parking spaces and a 237-strong cycle storage area, as well as commercial space on the ground floor.Approval has been recommended.
