Major student flats bid takes step forward after £20m investment
Plans for more than 200 serviced student bedrooms in Loughborough have moved forward after a Coventry-based company bought a former JobCentre building as part of a £20m investment.Study Inn Group, which has created and manages more than 1,800 student rooms across the UK, is to regenerate the property in Lemyngton StreetThe business is now in talks with Charnwood Borough Council’s planning and inward investment departments and is aiming to open the new scheme for the start of the 2019/20 academic year.Study Inn started in Coventry in 2009 and also operates in Nottingham, Sheffield, Cambridge and Bristol.It manages 850 student bedrooms in Coventry and will be showcasing its latest developments including the work in its home city at the world’s largest commercial property development and investment show, MIPIM, in March.
