Matrix Networks to power new £182m Gateway South commercial park in UK

Matrix Networks, a UK-based independent connections provider (ICP), has secured a contract to design and install the electrical services connection to power the new £182m Gateway South commercial park in Coventry, UK. The contract has been awarded by the developer Roxhill through main contractor Buckingham Group. The latest contract announcement follows Matrix Networks’ completion of the multi-utility infrastructure works for SEGRO Logistics Park – East Midlands Gateway in Leicestershire, which was also for Roxhill. Under the contract, Matrix Networks will design and build a primary substation to provide electricity on the 200-acre development which surrounds Coventry Airport. It will also design and install electrical infrastructure to bring a 33kVa electrical supply into the Park, providing a load of 20MVA to power the commercial units located across both the northern and southern sections of the development. Matrix Networks stated that work has already starting on site.
