Maxi to deliver £3.3m revamp at Edinburgh school
Maxi Construction has been awarded a £3.3 million contract from the City of Edinburgh Council for refurbishment works to Balerno High School.The works include an upgrade of the full roofing system with new insulation and covering and curtain walling/window/door replacements to certain areas. Internal refurbishment works will also take place throughout the school including upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems, all toilets and changing facilities, full replacement kitchen, flooring, ceilings and decoration.The works are expected to start in a few weeks, allowing the school time to settle in after an extended absence of pupils.The project team includes contract administrator, principal designer and quantity surveyor Capita Real Estate and infrastructure and mechanical & electrical engineers Harley Haddow.
