Millfield Estates acquires former bank building
Bolton-based property investor Millfield Estates has acquired a former bank building in Liverpool’s commercial district.After changing hands in a multimillion-pound deal, Yorkshire House on Chapel Street is now set to undergo a major refurbishment programme. The planned renovations will include: an overhaul of the entrance foyer, landings and vacant suites; a phased upgrade to external elements of the building including a new lighting scheme; and infrastructure improvements that will enable superfast broadband to be access from the property.Millfield Estates has partnered with brand consultancy USP Creative for the design-led refurbishment.Yorkshire House comprises 24,411 sq ft of office space over seven floors. Its current tenants include FMG Consultants, Jayne Moore Media and Stellar Group.The deal for Yorkshire House represents Millfield Estates’ first acquisition in Liverpool. The new venture is led by property director Paul Dobson, who returns to the city where he studied for a degree in urban estate management.
