Mixed-use scheme planned for former factory site
A new mixed-use development is set to be built on a former factory site in Wiltshire, previously earmarked for a Morrison’s supermarket, after a deal to buy the land was completed.London-based Charles Dean Properties has formed Innox Mills Ltd to acquire the 10.6 acre former Bowyers factory site in Trowbridge from the retailer and its development partner Prorsus.The company is now planning to develop a mixed-use scheme to regenerate the site, which has been derelict for about ten years. The site has an existing consent for a 70,000 sq ft supermarket, multi-screen cinema and six restaurants.The site will be named Innox Mills as a tribute to the surviving 19th century woollen mills that form part of Trowbridge’s industrial heritage. GCW is the retained agent for the scheme.Charles Dean Properties leads a small consortium of investors which invests and develops in residential and commercial schemes.
