More than 180 homes proposed for South Yorkshire site
Plans have been lodged for a development of more than 180 homes on a site in South Yorkshire.Persimmon Homes has submitted an application to Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council for development on a 15.5-acre site currently in agricultural use.The land is located to the south of Doncaster Road (B1396) and forms part of a wider 27.3-acre site allocated for 275 homes in the Doncaster Local Plan (DLP).Full planning permission is sought for 182 homes, together with access, associated infrastructure, landscaping, public open space and parking.The housing would comprise 140 open market homes of between one and four bedrooms and 42 two- and three-bedroom affordable housing units.The on-site public open space would comprise 3.5 acres.It has been estimated that the development would support 111 direct full-time equivalent (FTE) construction jobs per year, as well as 151 indirect and induced FTE jobs.
