Motor dealership proposed on cinema site

Plans have been submitted for the development of a job-creating motor dealership building on the site of a former cinema and restaurant in Derby.Car Shop is seeking the go-ahead from Derby City Council to build a car storage and sales facility for previously-owned vehicles on Sinfin Lane.The site comprises part of Foresters Leisure Park, including the now closed Showcase Cinema and Pizza Hut Restaurant, which will both be demolished as part of the application.A single-storey commercial scale building is proposed, with a footprint of approximately 22,270 sq ft, consisting of vehicle preparation areas, repair and service workshops, offices for sales and IT, reception area and staff facilities.The proposal also includes a canopied area for external handover and ancillary structures for jet wash facilities and a dry valet area.It is anticipated that scheme will create 65 jobs upon completion.
