Mountpark Logistics outlines Omega South plans
Mountpark Logistics has outlined plans to fund a 735,000 sq ft speculative development at Omega South.Located at the gateway to the site, the development is the second phase of the Mountpark Warrington Omega masterplan and will comprise a trio of logistics centres of 307,000 sq ft, 203,000 sq ft and 225,000 sq ft.Each would include a rooftop solar PV array that would meet about 50 per cent of the facility’s regulated energy. The first two units are due to complete in January 2021.Omega South is part of the 575-acre mixed use Omega scheme at Junction 8 of the M62. It is being developed by a partnership between Homes England, which owns the land, and OWL.It has attracted a number of major occupiers such as Royal Mail, Brakes, Hermes, Travis Perkins, ASDA, The Hut Group, Dominos, Amazon and Plastic Omnium.McLaren Construction is the main contractor. CBRE and JLL are the letting agents.
