MSA Group submits plans for £75m motorway service area
Extra MSA Group has submitted outline proposals for a £75m new concept motorway service area on the M62.Earmarked for junction 11 to the north-east of Warrington, the site will comprise a range of food and beverage outlets, together with ancillary retail, business and leisure facilities.The proposals would employ in the region of 300 construction workers over the phased build period and create 228 full-time equivalent jobs when operational.Extra MSA is proposing a Local Employment Agreement as part of the planning application to ensure companies and people in the area benefit.The company undertook a public consultation on the draft proposals earlier this year, holding three public exhibitions across April. It also engaged with elected council members, arranging individual meetings and inviting them to attend a stakeholder preview.The professional team includes Architecture 519, Spawforths, i-Transport, Wardell Armstrong, Zerum, SLR Consulting and Sanders Studios.
