NatWest backs gymnastics centre expansion
NatWest has provided funding to a Cornwall gymnastics centre to support its expansion into larger premises.Penryn Gymnastics Centre has used £329,000 worth of funding from the bank to purchase and refurbish larger premises on Kernick Industrial Estate.The new unit will provide additional capacity for trampoline and parkour areas with a dance studio set to be added later in the year.Penryn Gymnastics Centre was founded in 2015 by Jill Punter, a member of Team GB’s gymnastics support team at Rio 2016, and currently has a membership of 500. The business has an annual turnover of £200,000.The new premises will also increase member capacity to 650 and create up to four new coaching positions, adding to its 13-strong training team.
