New £12m student housing scheme for Leeds
A new £12m 18-storey student housing scheme is being proposed for Leeds city centre, providing 99 studio flats as well as a host of amenities.The pre-application plans for Q One are set to be presented to the Leeds City Plans Panel on 14 December next week.The project site was an office building formerly known as Brunswick Point which was converted to residential use a few years ago.Leeds based property investment and lettings business YPP is behind the scheme and is currently delivering the redevelopment of the former Walkabout bar on Cookridge Street for student housing.The new building would be managed by YPP in conjunction with Q One, to create an integrated residential community at this location.Box Architects are designing the scheme and Indigo Planning are advising on the proposals.
