New £3million care facility to progress
West Lothian Council is proposing to build a new complex care housing development at Cawburn Road, Pumpherston.The Council Executive has approved plans to seek the necessary consents for the proposed new £3million project which will allow the project to progress.It’s expected that building work will begin next summer subject to all approvals being obtained with a completion date expected in the Autumn of 2021.West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is working with NHS Lothian and other Lothian HSCPs on a redesign and modernisation programme for adults with learning disabilities which will see a significant shift in the balance of care from hospital to community settings by 2020 / 21. The programme focuses on people receiving care, support and treatment within the community where possible.
