New £60m retail park plans submitted
Plans for a new £60m retail and leisure development in Exeter have been submitted for consideration to the city’s council.The proposals for the land owned by Western Power Distribution (WPD) include 90,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space.According to Walker Developments, the plans for the site to the east of the city could support 325 jobs as well as opening up space for further investment at nearby Osprey Road.The developer is also offering up land for the council to widen nearby Honiton Road. WPD would then look to move its storage site and vehicle maintenance facility to another location.Submission of the plans come weeks after rival plans for nearby Moor Exchange were lodged.
