New bar and restaurant for Bingley landmark
The old Fire Station in Bingley is being redeveloped by the parent company of Potting Shed Trading as a new restaurant and bar.The grade II-listed building on Main Street, which still has many of its original fire headquarters features, is set to become the first American-style FirePit Smokehouse & Sports Bar.FirePit is the latest concept to be launched by Ormsborough Ltd, the parent company of Potting Shed Trading, a company founded by the BurningNight management team and funded by the Downing EIS Pub Fund.Ormsborough is investing almost £1m in creating the new venue which is due to open next month (April 2017).With its Potting Shed bar and gardens about to celebrate a successful two years in Bingley, this landmark location will be the first in what Ormsborough plans to make a nationwide concept.Retaining much of the former fire station character – including the distinctive tower – and the existing glass frontage, the building will be given a complete interior makeover.Americana including classic car parts and bric-a-brac, and neon signage is also being added and the FirePit will have a smoker and wood-burning grill to create its menu of US-style dishes.Allan Harper, chief executive of BurningNight Group, said the Bingley site was the first of a brand which the company hopes to roll out further this year.
