New housing development for Church Fenton

North Yorkshire-based housebuilder Thomas Alexander Homes has completed on its next development in the region, it has announced.The new Swann Gate development in Church Fenton will offer 45 private and five affordable homes.Each home at Swann Gate will boast two, three, four or five bedrooms, while approximately 65 per cent of the development will be allocated to public open space, including key footpath links to connect residents with Church Fenton and the countryside that surrounds it.As part of the deal to secure planning permission on the land on which the development will be located, Thomas Alexander Homes will make a £169,950 contribution to education and contribute £420,000 to a community infrastructure levy.Church Fenton is home to the former Royal Air Force station RAF Church Fenton.Alex Blease, managing director at Thomas Alexander Homes, said: “Underscoring our commitment to delivering exceptional living experiences in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, Swann Gate’s allocation for extensive open space reinforces our commitment to sustainability and enhancing the surroundings of all our developments, while its prime location, meticulous design and emphasis on community integration will see it raising the bar for new residential developments in the region for years to come.”The first homes are expected to be brought forward in 2025, marking another major milestone in Thomas Alexander Homes’ growth plans, which were bolstered by news of the company completing on a further new development less than two weeks ago.In 2022, Thomas Alexander Homes engaged in a joint venture partnership with property company Salboy funding and developing housing throughout the UK.
