New owners for pub and caravan park
A North Yorkshire pub and caravan park has been sold with the new owner planning a major upgrade to the business ahead of the spring and summer season.The White Swan, a 30-cover pub and 42-pitch caravan park at Newton-on-Rawcliffe near Pickering has been sold for £540,000.Bridlington-based Guy and Melissa Hornby have purchased the business, which was marketed by commercial property estate agency Ernest Wilson. The new owners are now carrying out the first phase of refurbishment ahead of the government’s planned 12 April reopening of holiday accommodation and beer gardens.The construction of new shower and toilet facilities, concrete bases for the caravans and landscaping of the caravan site is also scheduled for later this year.
