New plans to be submitted for AFC Bournemouth training ground
AFC Bournemouth is to submit revised plans for a new training ground at the 57-acre former Canford Magna Golf Club.The club previously receive d permission for a new training ground from the Borough of Poole in December 2017.However, the new plans will be decided on by the new local authority – Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council – as an amendment to the existing planning permission.If approved, the development will commence with immediate effect.The Cherries are planning a phased build which will bring AFC Bournemouth’s first team, development squad, academy and pre-academy training operations and facilities into one location.The centre will have ten full-size pitches, three junior pitches, an indoor artificial playing surface and an outdoor artificial playing surface. The site will also have medical, fitness, sports science and rehabilitation facilities, administrative space and a press conference theatre.
