New rowing club facilities proposed
Proposals have been put forward for new facilities to be used by City of Swansea Rowing Club and Swansea University Rowing Club.A pre-application form has been submitted seeking advice from Swansea Council on a new facility at White Rock on Pentrechwyth Road.A two-storey boathouse building would be built, together with a parking area, access and launching pontoons.The new facility would also include a training room fitted out with erg machines and a classroom for theory based sessions. In designing the new rowing boat house and its facilities a variety of factors need to be considered in order that the rowing clubs may operate successfully, safely and efficiently.
