Nod for £500m Oxford North project
The plans for Oxford North, the £500m innovation district, have been given the green light by a planning review committee.The approval from Oxford City Council comes weeks after the authority’s planning committee recommended the scheme for the nod.The Oxford North project is being led by Thomas White Oxford, the development company of St John’s College.It could provide 4,500 jobs and housing for about 1,500 people, as well as a hotel, shops, bars, restaurants and 23 acres of open space.Savills, Fletcher Priest Architects, Gardiner & Theobald, Peter Brett Associates, Townshend Landscape Architects, Hoare Lea, EDP, AKT II, and BSG Ecology are acting for Thomas White Oxford.
