Northamptonshire site earmarked for job-creating project
A Northamptonshire site surrounded by existing commercial and retail facilities has been earmarked for a development which has the potential to create up to 209 jobs.Legal & General Investment Management has lodged plans to construct 14 employment units and a freestanding pod at Old Tiffield Road, Towcester.The application site is situated within an area comprising various retail and commercial properties, including a Tesco store, a B&M store, a Porsche car dealership, the Tove waste recycling depot and various office buildings.The warehouse buildings are proposed to be arranged across a number of terraces. Taken together, the facilities – plus the freestanding pod unit – total 81,010 sq ft.It is estimated that the project could create between 117 and 209 gross full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs throughout the lifecycle of development.
