Northstone submits plans for energy-efficient Pendle scheme
Northstone has submitted plans to build 243 energy-efficient homes in Pendle in a bid to help meet housing needs and support first-time buyers.It would be the company’s second development at Trough Laithe, where an outline permission for up to 500 homes was granted in 2017.Proposed are a mix of homes on the southern half of the site with access to be taken from Riverside Drive.The Trough Laithe development would generate extra income for Pendle Council from council tax revenue and a New Homes Bonus payment. Northstone would also contribute up to £1.3m towards local school provision and £250,000 for highways improvements at Junction 13 of the M65.
