OFFICE TO RESIDENTIAL CONVERSION FOR GRADE II-LISTED BUILDING
Plans have been submitted to convert the upper floors of a grade II-listed property in Newport City Centre to flats.An application has been submitted to Newport City Council by the Seren Group seeking listed building consent for the change of use for the first and second floors of Central Chambers, 4-10 Stow Hill.The proposal would provide five affordable homes, comprising a mix of one- and two-bedroom flats.The building was originally built in the 1890s and was designed as commercial retail premises on the ground floor with two floors of commercial chambers. It was award grade II-listed status in 2000.
