Orbit Homes to deliver 29 new affordable properties near Chipping Norton
Orbit Homes, part of the Orbit Group, is set to deliver 29 new houses in the village of Enstone, near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire.The proposed development will be 100% affordable, comprising of 15 social rent and 14 shared ownership properties.The site is surrounded by agricultural fields and will utilise £1,685,000 of grant funding through the Homes England Strategic Partnership (HESP) programme and £450,000 of Recycled Grant Funding (RCGF).Carlo Albertini, land manager at Orbit Homes, said: “We are delighted to be delivering these much-needed affordable homes in the village of Enstone.“The proposed development will enhance the local area by creating open space for members of the community to enjoy, as well as providing brand-new homes in keeping with the existing area.“Enstone is a great base from which to explore the stunning rolling countryside and charming villages of Oxfordshire, and we look forward to seeing the site progress over the coming years.”The first houses are expected to be completed in 2023/ 2024, with the remainder being delivered in 2024/ 2025.The site is located south of the Oxford Road in the village of Enstone, which has a population of 1,139.Enstone is situated east of Chipping Norton and 18 miles west of Bicester.Part of the Orbit Group, housebuilder Orbit Homes delivers over 1,000 new-build homes per annum, 65% of which are affordable homes.Image: Site plan of the proposed scheme in Enstone, near Chipping NortonRead next: PA Housing can’t solely rely on its BAME heritage to deliver EDIAre you a social housing professional?
