Osbit expands Northumberland HQ
Offshore engineering and technology company Osbit has begun work on expanding its Northumberland head office after receiving grant funding from the North East Rural Growth Network’s Rural Business Growth Fund (RBGF).The company is constructing a new single-storey extension within the site of its head office at Broomhaugh House in Riding Mill.The new extension is to be situated behind the existing Victorian building and will be connected via a corridor. A new courtyard will also be added, along with additional car parking spaces.The additional space will house multiple project teams, providing space for up to 50 more staff.The project, which is due for completion in spring 2020, is being undertaken with support of a £151,000 grant from the RBGF.Twelve new jobs will be created at Osbit as part of the development, with two new staff having already been hired.
