P4 Planning submits sports pitch proposals
P4 Planning has submitted an application for a new 3G sports pitch near Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter. The scheme – which would form part of the University of Liverpool’s wider £1bn masterplan – is earmarked for a site currently home to a series of buildings off Mulberry Street. The plans propose the demolition of the existing structures, which were originally built in the 1960s as on-campus student accommodation. They have been vacant for the last five years. The replacement pitch would include supporting infrastructure such as equipment tables for teqball and table tennis. It is the University of Liverpool’s intention for the facility to be available to the community as well as students and staff.Cunliffes acted as architect on the scheme.
