Persimmon to start work on first phase of £36m Carnoustie housing development

Persimmon Homes North Scotland is poised to start work on the first phase of a new £36 million housing development at Upper Victoria, Carnoustie.The housebuilder was given the given the green light by Angus Council’s planning committee in February 2021 to begin construction of 194 homes, 49 of which will be affordable housing.The new development, named Greenlaw Park, will transform the former 17-acre Pitskelly Farmland to create a comprehensive range of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes.In addition to the new homes the community will also benefit from a developer contribution of almost £900,000 made by Persimmon Homes that will help to fund primary school provision in the area.Accessed via Upper Victoria, the development is located to the North West of Carnoustie and forms the residential element of a joint venture between Persimmon Homes North Scotland and DJ Laing Group that will ultimately deliver new homes and a new business park.
