Pipeline Framework: Archaeological investigations on 2 sites in the Kennet Valley

A pipeline has been launched for Archaeological investigations on 2 sites in the Kennet Valley.The contract start Date is 1 February 2024. Approach to market date is 8 January 2024.As a member of the Environment Agency Fisheries and Biodiversity team, we are looking to deliver 2 river and floodplain restoration projects. Both projects require excavation of floodplain soils in order to create the necessary channel alignment or to source river gravels. We are aware of the archaeological interest of the Kennet Valley and wish to employ an experienced archaeological consultant to deliver for both sites:1. Archaeological Appraisal2. Written Scheme of Investigation (WSI)3. Outline price for proposed field work identified in task 2.
