Pipeline Framework: Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Doctoral Programme

A pipeline has been launched for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Doctoral Programme.The contract start Date is 1 April 2022. Approach to market date is 20 October 2021.Significant expansion of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy is vital to the delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan objectives. HEE have been pleased to work with Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Doctorate programmes over the past two years to deliver this expansion alongside other important developmental projects.We are looking to undertake a retendering process to support the future sustainability and expansion of this vital workforce, to reach our priority NHS Long Term Plan ambitions.To this end, Health Education England will be undertaking a full retender exercise for the four-year Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Doctorate training programme for cohorts entering from September 2022 onwards.This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to advise prospective providers of the Commissioners intention.It is our intention to hold a market engagement events on the morning of 29 September 2021 from 11am to 12.30pm Child and Adolescent PsychotherapyAt the event there will be an opportunity to discuss our plans and consult with parties interested in potentially bidding to deliver the doctoral programme. The event will take the form of an online presentation and discussion organised through MS Teams and will outline our current thinking, the anticipated procurement process, general discussion, and requests for information. The process will also provide an opportunity to network with others providing education and training in this field. The ITT is expected to be published mid to late October 2021. A separate advert will be released advising of this.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
