Pipeline Framework: Diabetes education service
A pipeline has been launched for Diabetes education serviceThe contract start Date is 11 November 2017. Approach to market date is 09 August 2017PRIOR INFORMATION NOTICE This is a prior information notice with future call for competition for provision of a diabetes education service. NHS Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), on behalf of West Leicestershire CCG and East Leicestershire & Rutland CCG is considering the procurement of a Diabetes Structured Education service for a small cohort of patients. Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland (LLR) CCGs are looking for provider(s) to deliver two elements through two separate lots:making available tailored services for diabetic women planning on becoming pregnant;developing a course for patients under the age of 18 years with type 2 diabetesThe provider(s) will be expected to:develop a diabetes education courseundertake patient and service user engagementcommence running the face to face education (either through one to one or group education)Estimated value for both lots is circa £200k for six months. The purpose of this PIN is to make providers aware of the CCGs’ intent.We advise any current providers of similar services, providers who may be interested in providing this service in the future, or other stakeholders who may have an interest in providing this service to register on Contracts Finder and the MLCSU eProcurement portal Bravo for alerts, please see links below: This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
