A pipeline has been launched for Environment Agency Expression of Interest for Research to Define Measurements for Understanding Changes in Resilience to Flooding and Coastal Change. The contract start Date is 29 January 2021. Approach to market date is 9 November 2020.The Environment Agency and Defra need to understand how resilience to flooding and coastal change is changing over time. The 25YEP included commitments to develop indicators which show changes in the resilience of communities that are at risk of flooding and coastal erosion over time and to track changes of the impacts of flooding and coastal erosion on people’s lives. This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly. When a public sector organisation publishes a pipeline notice, it does not necessarily mean that an opportunity will be offered in the future. For more information contact: Defra Network eTendering Portal, Horizon House, Bristol BS1 5AH.
