A pipeline has been launched for Future opportunity – upcoming Short Breaks DPS call off. The contract start Date is 01 March 2020. Approach to market date is 17 November 2019.Southampton City Council will be commissioning the Lot 4 services in May 2020 for which a call off competition will be issued in January 2020 for the services to begin around May 2020. These services fall under Short break dynamic purchasing system (DPS) that was formed in April 2019.Lot 4 services are to develop innovative & creative short break provision for disabled children & young people (aged 0-19 years). Also, the purpose of Lot 4 is to support providers to develop innovative and creative short break provision which is not commissioned via one of the other lots. This could include proposals to pilot or test out alternative approaches to short break provision. Further information will be included within the service specification that will be published later.To enable the above, SCC would like to invite interested organizations to bid for a place on the DPS so they can bid for the call off competition for this commissioning service.Important informationEligibility to apply for this call off competition – To be placed on the DPS as a Lot 4 provider before the call off competition tender is published.Deadline to be placed on the DPS is 17th January, 2020.Tentative Call off competition tender publication date is the end of January 2020.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
